Get matched automatically
You join the queue for that tier and are paired with the next real player waiting at the same amount. You are never matched against the platform or a bot. If nobody's waiting yet, your request also posts to our public Telegram channel (@chessleadersmatches) with a one-tap join link — so anyone browsing it can jump straight into your game.
- You can leave the queue at any time before a match starts

05Escrow
Both stakes lock in escrow
The moment the match starts, both amounts leave both wallets and are held in escrow. Neither player can spend or withdraw them while the game is running.

Play the game
A standard timed game of chess. 10 minutes on each clock, with 3 seconds added per move. Clocks run on the server, not in your browser.

07Settlement
Escrow settles instantly
A win releases the whole pot to the winner. A draw returns both stakes untouched. Disconnects and abandoned games follow fixed rules, not judgement calls.
- Win: both stakes to the winner, no cut taken
- Draw: full refund to both players
- Disconnect: 60 seconds to reconnect before forfeiting
- Abandoned within the first 2 moves: void and refunded

08Withdraw
Withdraw your winnings
Request a withdrawal via the same method you deposited with. Payouts are made every Tuesday and Wednesday — a request made any other day waits for the next one, then an admin reviews and sends it. The fee is 20% with a $5.00 minimum, deducted from the amount you withdraw.
- Paid out on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only
- Withdraw $50, the fee is $10, and $40 reaches you
- Payouts go only to an account in your own name, via the method you deposited with
- Withdrawals are reviewed for anti-money-laundering checks

The money, plainly
What escrow means for your balance.
When a match starts, both stakes leave both wallets and sit in escrow — a holding balance neither player can touch. Nothing is spent and nothing is won until the game reaches a result. Then escrow releases, in one direction or both.

Each player gets their own stake back in full. No fee, no deduction, no rake.

The pot releases to your opponent. You lose the amount you staked and nothing more.
Disconnect
60 seconds to reconnect
Reconnect in time and play resumes on your remaining clock. Fail to, and you forfeit the pot. Abandoned inside the first 2 moves, the game is void and both stakes refund.
The one fee

There is no rake on any pot and no fee to deposit or to play. The withdrawal fee is the only money ChessLeaders takes, and it is how the platform is funded.
